1998

The Winkowski company has been established

A new company – WINKOWSKI – is established after the merger of Zakłady Graficzne in Piła, Poland, with the Superkolor printing house from Radzymin, Poland. Quad/Graphics acquires 35% of the new company’s shares.

1999

At the forefront of technology change in Poland

WINKOWSKI is the first company in Poland to introduce the newest technology of exposing the offset plates – CTP (Computer to Plate).

2004

Rapid growth

The company invests in new technologies – including the most advanced printers in Europe. It also acquires a new production hall In Piła. The combined area of both printing houses reaches 65,000 sq m, while the employee count grows to 1,200.

2008

Quad takeover

Quad/Graphics, Inc. announces that it had bought a majority stake in WINKOWSKI. The company changes its name to QuadWinkowski.

2009

Ownership change

Quad/Graphics buys 100% of the shares of QuadWinkowski.

2010

New plant

The company moves the printing house from Piła to Wyszków, Poland. The plant in Radzymin begins the shed-fed printing. At the same time, QuadWinkowski takes over the IMC S.A. Winkowski Group – a company focused on producing cardboard stands and packaging.

2012

Name change

QuadWinkowski changes its name to Quad/Graphics Europe.

2015

Acquisition of Marin’s

Quad/Graphics Europe buys a stake in French company Marin’s, based in Paris. Marin’s is dedicated to creating and distributing innovative in-store solutions for brands and retailers across the world. The company specialises in developing bespoke point-of-sale displays for over 20 years and is the exclusive distributor of the renowned LAMà® Display.

2018

Acquisition of the Peppermint ad agency

Quad/Graphics Europe acquires Peppermint, a creative and strategic agency that focuses on ATL, BTL, and digital advertising campaigns. It is a large step towards Quad/Graphics Europe’s transformation – from a printing house into a marketing services provider.

2019

Provider of complete marketing solutions

The company expands its competences to become a provider of complete marketing solutions for customers. Quad adds comprehensive solutions to its portfolio – from communication strategy, through creative services, to their implementation (print, production of stands, implementing the solutions in digital media). Quad’s new logo is introduced to underline this shift.
